Bulldog is one of Michigan's oldest dirt and trail M/Cs with a rich and well-documented history. Click the images below to view our scrapbook.

The reason we're called Bulldog: our mascot.

Member Kenny Hess on a 1950 Indian Warrior TT, taken at the Flint Winter Enduro in 1951 or 1952. It is not possible to be any cooler.

Bulldog M/C - since 1948.

Called the "Southwick of Michigan", Bulldog is one of the most interesting and difficult motocross tracks in Michigan to host AMA-sanctioned events. There may be bigger, but Bulldog stands out not only in facilities, but also in spirit. The Bulldog Member is dedicated and definitely unique in personality.

Bulldog is a private club. To become a member, you need to be pledged by another member; please contact an officer below for further information. Anyone holding an AMA card is welcome to compete here on race days. There are NO public practices.

April 5th race report, By Lenny Hufton

Ed Hieftje is Alpha Dog at Bulldogs Opener

Eddy Heiftje picked up from the National Ice Races where he left off, flat out flying on a motorcycle. He easily won both the 40+ and Vet Unlimited classes with a perfect score in every moto. With some early completion in each race, he put his head down, smoothed out, and rode away. Though I do not think he is the type to do so, he deserved to howl at the moon after his day at the opening round of the District 14 Motocross Championship series.

The biggest class of the day was the Vet Unlimited class with sixteen riders. Some are still confused about what the Unlimited classes are all about. Our goal is to provide an option for racers to ride with deeper competition (more riders), and longer motos for less money. Who knows, maybe riding an "Unlimited class" will bring back the respectability the Michigan Mafia once enjoyed. Do you have what it takes to get "made"?

Daniel Aulseybrook put on a clinic in the 250 A class, and Trevor Gundlach showed up riding blue in the Open A. Nicky Beatty made the trip from Canada and represents the second generation of the Canadian Tag Team(CTT for short). Rich Machniak stole the win in the 45+ class with Jeff Brown trying to keep him honest.

The fifty plus class continues to grow with several of its riders also opting to ride the Unlimited class, pretty impressive. Dave Bowman had his Tech-Care Suzuki on point, besting Bost, Brekers, and Ruggles.

Mother Nature cooperated, and the track was in perfect shape with deep berms and rolling whoops developing. Imagine a new era of old school motocross, which is what the District 14 Championship Series promises to deliver. "Making" new Michigan Mafia members, one rider at a time!
